Amazing Narrator and Great Story!

The narrator for the Map to Everywhere was so good that my kids and I enjoyed listening to the audiobook even more than we enjoyed reading the story the first time around. The book has some really good illustrations, so it's worth buying the book as well -- but I would definitely recommend listening to the audiobook, because it was amazing in and of itself even if you do miss out on the pictures. I really can't say enough good things about the narration for this one. That's why I was really disappointed to see that there is a different narrator for the second book in the series, City of Thirst. Whoever made that decision definitely needs to be fired (or at least severely reprimanded).

Worth the listen

This story is very well written, exciting and full of fun. The reader is excellent, both with his accents for the voices and I felt he really was enjoying himself.

Adventure!

The narration was excellent. Definitely get this book. The story is fun and the characters are lively and very interesting. Just an FYI though the second book has different narrators and the story felt completely different. I couldn't finish listening to the second book after the great narration of the first book.

I Wouldn’t, If I Were You

The book just dragged ... on and on and on. I can’t believe it took me 10 1/2 months and over 20 attempts to get through a kids’ book! I devour like them like sliced strawberries!
I could probably recite the first four chapters by memory.

It probably didn’t help that the narrator was not a good fit. This was his only kids’ book and he didn’t bring it to life. Maybe he rates better in other genres.

I had the next book in my wish list and although it has a different narrator, I’m not inclined to follow.
