Fast paced light listening

Would you listen to The Edge of Alone again? Why?

Probably not.

What does Grant Pennington bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I thought Grant Pennington did an excellent job, he has a good voice and his characters are easily distinguishable.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I did!

Any additional comments?

I really like the Ryan Lock books and I did enjoy this one, it was a quick light listen. However I am a little surprised just how light it was. Sean Black's books are generally not super long but are usually packed with action and the characters are well developed. This book is more about Ty Johnson (Lock's partner) which is fine. Ty goes undercover at a boot camp type school for problem teens. Of course there's abuse going on and danger for Ty. The book doesn't go into a whole lot of detail but kind of gives brief views of what's going on there. I think the story had tons of potential but falls short of being excellent. Good when you are in between and looking for a light read/listen.
