What made the experience of listening to Soccer: Soccer Strategies the most enjoyable?
The narrator made everything sound easy. Also, the strategies in the book were plausible and easy to achieve. Descriptions were excellent and my attention never wavered. I never knew there was so much to playing soccer, but I can see now that it is a highly technical game that requires stamina and thought processes.
What other book might you compare Soccer: Soccer Strategies to and why?
I would compare this soccer book to another Ace McCloud book on golf called Golf Strategies. This book and that one both prepare the player physically and mentally to play the game.
What does Joshua Mackey bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I have read the book too, and I think Mr. Mackey brings out things you might skip over when reading. He has a good sense of what to emphasize and when to bring out the best in a book.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I found the chapter on nutrition very good. Although I do not play soccer, some of my family members do and I was able to prepare meals before the game that helped them to keep up there stamina.
Any additional comments?
This book is good for a beginner and someone who has been playing soccer for years. It touches on just about every aspect of the game from the physical and building stamina, to exercising and working the physical end, to technical issues (the part about being a goalie we found particulary helpful) and preparing mentally. The whole book is essential to the young soccer player for sure and I even learned a great deal from the book.

Would you consider the audio edition of Soccer: Soccer Strategies to be better than the print version?
That really depends on your preference and lifestyle. If you're a multitasker and cant find time to sit for a few hours and read a book, then this is absolutely for you!
Any additional comments?
Getting fit and healthy can be fun with team sports! But the difficulty comes in finding people to play with. You could join an adult league, but they expect you to have some prior knowledge of the sport...
Luckily, that's where this audio-book comes in! It will teach you everything from basic rules to sneaky tricks that the pros like to use! Because of this, it's actually perfect for anyone at any level.
So if you have a high-school or college soccer player that might like this, you could give this to them too!

As someone who regularly plays soccer I found this book to be a really helpful and informative advice book to improve my game.
The mental strategies that Ace McCloud lays out are very impressive and I learnt a great deal from them. Whether its visualization, relaxation or goal-setting, there is so much here that can help you before you step on the field.
The best part of the book was where each position is given tips and advice. As a striker there was much to learn here, including valuable tips on movement and finishing.
With nutritional/food tips, training exercises and even some fun tricks to practice, this book has everything for a soccer player to help improve there game and is highly recommended!

I bought this Soccer strategy audiobook, alongside the ebook because I recently became interested in football/soccer and wanted to understand a bit more about the game and what the players are trying to achieve. In that regard, it was really helpful. I particularly enjoyed the section that went through the various positions that are played across the pitch and discussed strategies for playing well in each position.
Soccer is well written and enthusiastically narrated by Joshua Mackey, and I much preferred this format to reading the book. For those who actually play soccer, the audio gives you an overview of which areas to work on if you want to improve. I think it is most useful for a 'diagnosis' and for a recommendation of action to take in order to raise your game. Once you have worked out the steps you want to take and the habits you want to form you may want to look for a detailed book for that area to help you work on these things further. "Health" by the same author might be a good place to start.
