Publisher's summary

Millions of runners around the country are interested in special experiences, whether it means running a bucket-list event like the world's largest marathon (New York City), or competing in beautiful and challenging locales such as Rome or Death Valley. There is no one better to guide these runners than Bart Yasso. As Chief Running Officer at Runner's World, he's run more than 7,000 races, on all seven continents, at every conceivable distance. Whether it's a 5K or half-marathon, he's done it all, and in Runner's World Race Everything he presents 50 of his favorite races.

Yasso shares tips on how he trained, the particularities of each course, and what specific lessons he learned and insights he gleaned about how to run your best in each race. Bart will teach you how to train and what to do on race day to make the best use of your training. The book will give you everything you need to know to succeed at the most popular race distances, alongside Bart's one-of-a-kind advice on his experiences at popular destination races so you can be inspired to tackle running's signature events. You'll also learn Bart's methods for winning the greatest race of all - longevity - so that you can remain healthy, fit, and able to race for decades to come.

Outstanding listen for all runners from the perspective of one of our greats!

Excellent advice and guidance from Bart Yasso, one of modern running’s true pioneers!
Myself a runner of over 27 years, I thought I’d heard or learned most of this. (Based on the table of contents.)

However, the material was very well organized and fresh! Narrator does a great job as well! Actually reminded me of Bart’s delivery/nature.

Does include PDF w training plans that are referenced.

Enjoy!

Great stories and advice from the one & only Bart!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

If you're looking to take your running to the next level, this book is full of great advice. I love that Bart advocates for running as a life style and not merely as something to check off on a bucket list.

Any additional comments?

Bart has offered so much to the running community over the last 30+ years. Wherever his trails lead him in the future, I'm certain he'll find joy in the journey.

Best book I have listened for many years

I have bought probably over 20 audible books. This is the first one that I have finished. I bought his earlier book after finished this one. Both are fantastic. I listened to it at least 3 times so far, mostly during exercise. Great book. Good stories about running at different distances and road races.

A Wonderful Tribute to Our Sport!

I enjoyed the variety in this book, for sure, but the “hat tip” it gives to the sport of running is special.

Training plans, stories, advice, and a lovely reminder to keep the sport and our personal running fun, kept the book interesting.

Ultimately, it’s a great testament to the sport, and Bart Yasso is a good person to hear from on that topic!

Very broad in scope, not the best choice for intermediate runners

Good book with a couple of novel nuggets, but because the book is trying to appeal to the entire gambit of runners, from neophyte runners to ultra distances, you cannot delve into very good specifics. I wanted something more.
