Publisher's Summary

The popular and highly respected horse trainer Mark Rashid brings together Western and Eastern philosophies to demonstrate a seamless new incarnation of horse training. After years of helping "difficult" horses, Mark Rashid understands how to build the foundation of a horse's training and resolve any problems encountered along the way. He explains how he allows the traditionally firm or assertive approach of the old Western style to take some lessons from the softer conflict resolution and ego reduction approach that the Japanese martial art of aikido teaches. Rashid's ultimate goal is harmony between horse and rider.

STRONGLY dislike narrator's voice

Mike Chamberlain or Kevin Young please. This narrator didn't make the story at all exciting. in fact. it was excruciating to listen to. His voice is impossible to get used to. It's more for a movie trailer for a sinister movie or something dark. I wish Mike Chamberlain or Kevin Young would read it! It ruined the story for me.

Narration did not do this book justice

How did the narrator detract from the book?

The narrator threw in inappropriate pauses and seemed to be trying to enunciate so well that the sentences did not sound like a real person would speak.

Any additional comments?

Liked the information given by Mark Rashid but found listening to this book painful.

All horse folk should listen to this one

beautifully read and a truly wonderful work. Many "Aha!" moments and much common sense. I like how Mark Rashid thinks and I think all of our horses could benefit if we all pondered Nature and their world from time to time, rather than just assuming ours is the only way. Loved listening and learning. Highly recommended!

one of my favourites.

one of my favorites. read Mark's books at another time further down the line after working more with your horse, and you will be able to gain more.
