This was a very enjoyable audio to listen to. It was full of all sorts of interesting facts and exciting stories. I liked how it told about the evolution of the game over time... from how people played to the evolution of the equipment itself. All sorts of fun facts are included such as how many stitches are in a baseball to who was the tallest player to ever play and who threw the fastest pitch in baseball history. If you enjoy baseball you will love this audio. Highly recommended!

Although I'm not a huge baseball nut, I thought this would be a fun and timely read as baseball season kicks into full gear. I was not disappointed. This book covers a huge amount of baseball history in a relatively short space, with a fun, conversational tone. As a casual baseball fan, I especially appreciated learning all about the traditions surrounding baseball. Now when I watch games, I feel like I have a whole new appreciation for what I'm seeing. I highly recommend this for casual and avid baseball fans alike.

I really enjoyed listening to this much more than I thought I would. I wanted to get a better idea about the game as I am dating an American and wanted to be able to understand more about the game and its history.
I found that it really explained how the game has developed and adapted over the years. I particularly found it interesting about how much change the ball itself has gone through and all the different materials that have been used over the years.
I love all the trivia, facts and stats throughout, like the history of team names and I found the section on player traditions and superstitions particularly interesting.
Great guide for beginners of baseball enthusiasts.
Would you listen to Baseball History again? Why?
"Baseball History" is worth to listen many times as very informative, engaging and nostalgic story about baseball.
What did you like best about this story?
I like the best history of evolution of the baseball as a game, especially the equipment like a ball and a bat. Very descriptive and informative chapter how are made baseball tools, what technology is used now and in previous generation. Wonderful journey back in time!
Which scene did you most enjoy?
I enjoy the most chapter about baseball culture, where I find out how funny and clever are baseball player nick names like Piano Legs, Three Finger, Oil Can Boyd, Biscuit Pants, etc. <br/>Also some names of baseball teams are very amusing like Pittsburgh Innocents, Chicago Orphans, Boston Bean Eaters.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I was very emotional during the heartbreaking chapter about Adam Greenberg, the Major League baseball player. He was hit in the head on his debut and suffered skull fracture and needed a long and difficult rehabilitation. Thanks to his high spirit and motivation he was able to back to the field and be even more successful.
