Good insight….

Lots of good perspectives and thoughts … almost gets lost in the computer tone of the narration.
Worth the trudge of out of context name dropping but barely.

POWERFUL and INSPIRING

Love love love!!! 🙌🙌 There are POWERFUL insights that are changing the way I think about my daughter and giving me amazing tools that are changing the course and future of our relationship and how I could influence her whole life- and I’m terrified at the thought that I could have continued without this knowledge!! 😳

This book caught me just in time.

I could have missed the whole point of being a mother and accidentally ignored the symbols of my daughters language and live. She's just six and before this book I was treating her like a young woman before she's even left childhood. Forever busy with activities and fleeting, one sided chats, I forgot to listen to my daughter. I forgot she too is a person with her own dreams. This book has taught me so many beautiful approaches to mothering and made me excited to be a mother again rather than feeling it's all so exhausting. Thank you Cheri

Good. But skip chapters 9 & 10

Some good information sprinkled into general knowledge. Although I am not religious, I will still accept other people have a lot different spiritual views than I. But chapters 9 & 10 was more of a serman and push of the writers religious views. 3 stars as there is not enough value in this book to recommend it to people I know. Although it may speak out to some. Also a big congratulations to Cheri Fuller on taking the time to write the book. Something I and a lot of others have never accomplished. Cheers :)

Get past the reader

If you can get past the Siri like tone of the reader, then the book is amazing.

Critical topic, poor, narrow analysis

Love that this touches on the vitalness of mother-daughter relationships, and ro idea very practical ways to ensure a healthy relationship. But this book droned on with overly specific thereby unnecessary details. It’s a listing of examples following each main idea, suggesting this book could’ve been easily and more effectively boiled down to a blog article. Dare I even say a listicle? Some of the ideas seem so basic that I’m not sure why they even made it onto the table for discussion, because I feel like if you’re the kind of who seeks out a book like this as a parenting resource, then you probably aren’t starting from ground zero, which is exactly where this author seems to keep going back to in her hyper-explanatory writing style.

On a side note, this narrator is absolutely painful to listen to. Monotonous, dry and in an oddly matronly tone, it makes the book even more challenging to get through. Save your time, save your money. There are better resources out there.
