This audiobook gets you into a relaxed state, allowing the words to penetrate your subconscious, for lack of a better way to explain it. Basically, the audio version helps you really associate and relate to the affirmations (if you let them).
I love that there is more than one version of the affirmations. There is a section for night time listening and daytime listening.
I personally prefer the daytime affirmations, as I normally need the most motivation in the morning.

This is NOT a replacement for a good diet and exercise. This audiobook is more like a dieting coach that motivates you and reminds you why you want to lose weight in the first place. It will help keep you MENTALLY on track, but the rest is up to you. Dieting and staying healthy is much, much easier when you are mentally prepared and ready for that kind of challenge.
