Exactly what I was looking for in a meditation

What made the experience of listening to Vipassana Meditation: Mindfulness Meditation for Beginners with Guided Imagery and Mindfulness Training the most enjoyable?

This was not only an enjoyable meditation, but an educational one. From the breathing technique to the guided imagery - I felt like the instructor was right there with me during the meditation session. It was calming, serene and very easy to follow.


What did you like best about this story?

I like the techniques taught in this meditation. I never came across them before in other places, but this is my first time trying Vipassana.


What does Lloyd Rosentall bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Loved the narrator's voice and how calm he sounded. The narration was light-spirited but calm and educational at the same time. I found the voice soothing.


Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Well, the entire meditation was my favorite. I did leave the music on afterwards to keep me feeling peaceful, but I had gotten up by then to do chores. Still, I listened through my earphones and found it kept my calm mood going, which was very nice. I'm not normally a morning person and it takes a lot to get me in a good mood before my coffee. This meditation helped me feel peaceful before breakfast and before the sun rose.


Any additional comments?

It was a welcome experience. I liked the feelings it gave me and how it cleared my mind. Well done.
