A book to explain your life to you
Laurie Penny speaks those unspeakable things women and girls of every age have carried like stones in their pockets. It's a must read for them, a manual, a thesaurus of articulation of their pain and oppression and their Love (not TM) and joy. Though men and boys struggle to acknowledge how much their lives have improved because of the feminist revolution they too will take so much of value from Unspeakable Things. Read it. Share it. Talk about it. Speak from it. We owe Ms. Penny one.

Fierce feminist and fun!
I love Penny's relatable, down-to-earth language. She knows how to be funny, compassionate and enjoyable without pulling any punches when it comes to her messages. The truth. Made digestible but without a sugar coating. I'd especially recommend to any fellow man who finds himself drawn to feminism but isn't yet sure if he's allowed to be.

An important book...
Laurie Penny is an amazing writer! The older I get the more I find such books important. The author taps into many common myths about work, love, politics, freedom, the internet with such clarity it sends a hover up your spine. She alternates between anger and vulnerability with an honesty that is sometimes shocking but always touching.
