Publisher's summary

Touch the ocean, Your Ocean! The award-winning Touch the Ocean: The Power of Our Collective Emotions, by celebrated craniosacral therapist, James Nemec, narrates compelling stories of heart centered presence and ocean healing. Journey again beyond traditional medicine with this volume of actual case histories performed on a massage table and now in the ocean. While listening to the moment-by-moment details of sessions with dolphins and clients, learn how to blend with nature and touch the ocean, wherever you are located. Discover the sounds within the sounds, and stories our bodies can tell! With oceanic music by Rusty Crutcher from his “Ocean Eclipse,” and an Ivy League endorsement for Afterward, the Audio Book also draws on the sounds of same Florida ocean that Nemec’s “CraniOcean” sessions are performed in. You are there. We are also asked a niggling question, just as our moods can be influenced by the weather, a bright day can make us cheerful, a stormy day sad, can we in turn, collectively, influence the weather and weather patterns? This question is based on clinical observations made by the Author while performing sessions in the ocean with colleagues– no one else would dare report it. These are nurturing, healing stories that organically arise, stories our bodies tell, uncovered through the work of craniosacral therapy and in the ocean. Non-surgical, non-intrusive, light touch, hands-on “craniosacral” therapy is safe for newborns and the elderly and is often considered a "last hope" by many for a healthy life. Nemec invites his readers to experience and receive the ancient wisdom that arises from their own bodies, through this therapy, to open the doors to a renewal of health and well-being. Perfect for warm Summer or cold Winter listening, why not find out for yourself? Even if you have read only this far, you are ready.

Critic reviews

“Simple and magically beautiful. Miraculous.” – (Blythe Stratton)
“This may be one of the best readings of all time.... I had a really good mental voice in my head for this book, but Nemec’s own is MUCH better. This is a real work of art on every level.... The way I look at it is that James Nemec needs a team. He does not merely hit home runs. He only hits home runs, and only with bases loaded. Get on base and let him slug you home.” (Newlpost, Amazon.com )
"A modern day Siddhartha" (Ashley Gasque)
“James Nemec has leapfrogged Jung, and has ridden chaos theory in the universe of the mind – the collective mind – the group think of society.” (Roy Nuzzo, MD, Surgeon, Diplomat of Harvard, Yale, Cornell, Rutgers, and former U.S. Naval Officer)
“Designed for patients of this nonintrusive, light-touch healing art.” ( Publishers Weekly Select)

Listen to the sea instead.

Oh my god. this is boring. You might find it interesting in some ways but 10 hours of talking about a health discipline that isn't even accepted by the health community. I guess it can do no harm and some parts were interesting but really, sacral cranial therapy? I think this guy has a bit of the healing touch but it may be better to go a session instead of wasting your time listening to the book.
