Great Read!

Good practical information from an experienced elder pagan. I particularly enjoyed the ideas of connection and every day practice. It's inspiring.

A must read

The book has 10 chapters that cover everything from daily devotionals to seasonal celebrations to crafts. Alaric has done a great job of making this book accessible regardless of the reader's spiritual tendencies and living situation. Those who share living space with non-pagans will appreciate his suggestions on hiding altars in plain sight. Those with acres of land will love his sections on John Barleycorn and bee keeping. As a busy professional I appreciated his section on daily devotionals that were both meaningful and short. I, like many pagans, tend to want to do significantly more than I actually have time for.
My only complaint is the weird/choppy editing that's distracting and annoying.

Delightfully Educational

An excellent read for those seeking to employ their pagan beliefs in their day to day life. While I learned much from this novel on the apparent topic, I believe I learned just as much about agriculture, chicken breeding, and dog selection. All topics are brought about in such away that they're applications are apparent. Yet as a 24 year old male who lives in an urban apartment, many of these additional practices simply do not apply to me.

Great!

This is a very good beginner’s book that would help anyone on their path.
I think it would be helpful to someone farther along as well. It is very easy to understand and follow. It also gives examples from multiple pantheons. There’s a bit of light humor also to keep it interesting.

Great listen and ideas for practices!

I wish the narration was a little less monotone, but this is a keeper in my collection. I especially liked the suggestions and shared ideas for ways to practice in daily life.

Walking a Pagan Path.

This book contains many good suggestions on walking a pagan path, some of which were practical for an urban apartment dweller, others were not so much. Many of Aleric's suggestions, such as growing your own food, or beekeeping, only make sense if you have a lot of land. However, other suggestions are applicable to anyone no matter where you live, and could be used by anybody. Alaric is a Saxon Pagan, so if you follow that path, this book would be especially useful, but as a Roman Pagan, I still found this to be a valuable book. It is not focused on witchcraft or magic, but rather how you can build a closer relationship to the gods and nature spirits of the land.
