Easily Accessible

The RAIN acronym is a hidden gem taught by many Mindfulness teachers , usually within the context of a greater Mindfulness practice. This isolation of RAIN allows you to apply healing- exactly where it hurts.

Very soothing; helps if you have practiced some mindfulness mindful

Tara's voice is spacious. In addition to the very simple, yet clear instructions, she gives a personal example from her own life that helps make this easy to relate to. I like following her on her website as well. She continues to support mindful practices weekly.

Good practice for healing triggers.

Tara Branch does a wonderful guided practice that can help find what triggers ,and keeps us stuck and repeating patterns that stop us from finding true peace and happiness in our lives and relationships.
Using mindfulness techniques we can identify what triggers us to return to behaviors that hold us from achieving true happiness in ourselves and with our relationships.

Love it.

I wish intro to and then meditation were in two files to just play meditation. Still, it's wonderful as it is.

NOTE it says Speech and it is a Speech... blah

Would you try another book from Tara Brach and/or Tara Brach?

I would not this was just blah blah blah for me. I did not like it at all.

What was most disappointing about Tara Brach’s story?

I wanted a meditation and this was what it said a ""SPeech". So buyer beware it is mostly a speech.

How could the performance have been better?

It could of been more interesting and non-repetitive. It just kind of drug on and on and on.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

Redeeming quality that it wasn't hours long.

Any additional comments?

This was not for me.

The Essence of Healing

From my point of view, as a psychologist and as a human being, I can tell you that I believe this meditative experience by Tara Brach captures the essential aspect of healing.

In my studies and practice of psychology, I specialized in the core change processes common across nearly all theories of psychotherapy. Through this, and my own personal healing work, I discovered how to help people break through to the truth of who they are, as opposed to the beliefs imposed on them by others - during their childhood or in their adult relationships.

I believe that Dr. Brach, who by the way is one of my favorite contemporary psychologists, has captured the core aspects of healing and change in this brief, but very powerful experience of R.A.I.N. I am SO looking forward to reading her new book that fully unfolds this healing practice.
