Publisher's Summary

From counselor and popular radio host Dr. Randy Carlson comes a new book containing the surprising truth: Living a better life is easier than you think! Instead of making big resolutions that quickly overwhelm you, The Power of One Thing invites you to begin moving toward change one daily, intentional step at a time. You'll learn how to figure out which positive change can make the biggest payoff in your life; you'll get practical tips from those who have already benefited from this plan; and you'll see how your one thing, lived intentionally over time, will help you to achieve the dreams you'd almost given up on.

Powerful, Insightful, and Incredibly Practical!

I've been listening to this book over the last few days, but haven't finished yet. It's amazing. So empowering, hope-inspiring, and yet so very practical all at the same time. It speaks to so many important areas of life, and encourages the listener to be intentional in taking just one step, making just one change in whatever area they're experiencing difficulty. I've started doing 'one thing' in several of those areas, and it's already making a huge difference - most markedly in my general outlook. So many light bulbs go on as I listen to it, there's not just light at the end of the tunnel; the whole tunnel's lighting up!

For those not familiar with Randy Carlson, he has a radio show called "Intentional Living" heard daily in the afternoon. This is where I first learned of this book. He has done a spectacular job with both writing and narrating this book. I highly recommend it!

bible verses very Christian format

premise is good...I wish the description had indicated that it had a very religious/Christian bent.
