Publisher's Summary

Being a parent is the most important calling you will ever have - with the emphasis on being. This parenting book is unlike any other. It's a step-by-step guide to selecting and modeling the very traits that you want your child to have. Because, as the authors explain, parenting is more about who you are than what you do. Drs. Les and Leslie Parrott are co-directors of the Center for Relationship Development at Seattle Pacific University, a groundbreaking program dedicated to teaching the basics of good relationships.

good and bad

Encouraging if somewhat obvious advice. Main concept figure out whom you would like your kids to be and become that person to lead by example.
I liked Screamfree Parenting better, if only because it relied less on the bible, which to my reading is hardly a positive example for parents.
I started skipping chapters a little more than halfway through in pure disgust.
Good luck to the perseverant.
