Publisher's summary

Imagine where the Church would be today if the men in it were respected as they ought to be by their wives. What power would God unleash through godly men who were respected in their homes?

In this short audiobook, Nancy Wilson exhorts wives to stop focusing on their husbands' problems and shortcomings and to look at their own responsibilities and learn the contentment which the Bible continually exhorts us to.

This audiobook is part of the Canon Press series of books on the family, which has helped many people trying to deal with the on-the-ground messes that come with sinners living under the same roof. This audiobook on marriage for women reminds us to keep our eyes fixed on what the Bible defines as our duties and not on the modern lies which flatter us.

Excellent read!

Definitely a must read. Some of the content was tough to hear but helped me think through and understand the role God has called me to in life and marriage.

A wise women indeed!

Wonderful book

I love the biblical foundation of all her topics. Not just for married women. She touches on health/fitness, beauty, friendships, grandparents, marriages.

Beautifully Convicting and Encouraging

This was filled with beautiful lessons about being a God glorifying wife and was wonderfully encouraging while also convicting (personally).

Quick read, great insight.

I really enjoyed this book. I found it to be informative and convicting. The audience for this book is Christian women who have a desire to be obedient to God by fulfilling the duties of wife and mother as defined in the bible. If that is not your heart than probably not the book for you. I greatly appreciated her advice and wisdom.

If Only I knew this YEARS AGO!!...

Let me start by saying, this book hit me "square in the face".

Please read on.

I did not like hearing some of the things the author said upon my first reading. BUT, as the weeks went by, those "things" kept nagging at me.

I asked myself WHY? To answer my own nagging questions, I listened to it again, then again, and again!

I've never listened to a book this many times.

Why this one?

Because it challenged my thinking and actions and the result of BOTH within my marriage.

Just as a test, I started implementing some of her wisdom.

It works. Period.

It's the hardest book on marriage I've ever read because what is suggested IS hard and does NOT come naturally.

Read it. I dare you. ;)

Read it; again and again and again if you are as clueless as I was, AND desire your marriage to be as rich and unbelievably liberating as mine is becoming.

Thank you Nancy. You nailed it!!

So wonderful!

This book is incredibly sound and full of practical wisdom. I’m very grateful for Nancy and her willingness to be forward and honest with what the Bible really says about being a woman. It’s hard to find such clear and direct teachers these days. By chapter six I was already sending this to all of the women in my circle encouraging them to read it also. God really convicted and stirred my heart through this book. I cannot recommend it enough!

Amazing

I have been sharing this with many women that are in my life. It takes us out of this world and back to what God has called us to in our marriage, homes and other relationships. Nancy thank you so much for writing this book.
