Publisher's Summary

What do women want? This question has stumped the greatest male minds for centuries. Of course, if you're married, a much better question is, what does your wife want?
As Darrin and Amie Patrick reveal in this profoundly practical and transformational audiobook, God designed your wife with the need to be loved. And that design is an invitation for you to love her deeply, intentionally, and passionately. Practicing 10 powerful actions, including listening, pursuing, and serving, will transform you into your wife's lifelong champion and have her nominating you for the Husband Hall of Fame. The Dude's Guide to Marriage is for guys who want to grow, who want clear steps to improving their marriages. It's for men who want marriages that thrive rather than just survive. story is good but female audio killed it

I enjoyed the audio book and made it quite of the way through until the female voice started in. I literally couldn't take listening any more and just stopped the book half way through. fix that part and you got yourself a solid read.

WTF

I got this book for my husband based on the good reviews and wanted to check it out before sending to him. Couldn't make it past the first few chapters. Someone left a review earlier that said "I enjoyed the book until the female voice started in then I literally couldn't take listening anymore" I feel like that sums up the intended audience for this book. **I'm not even an uber feminist but felt increasingly offended listening to this book. It's almost ironic how a book that starts with how to listen to your wife can make it sound so self centered. To all strong powered women out there, who are not just a sidekick to their spouse, this book is NOT for you or your husband.

Actual quotes from the book "men are not good at talking to their wives because they are only good at talking to MEN" and
"I can't tell you how frustrating it is when my wife doesn't do back flips when I report all the wins I have from my job!"

Lord (lots of religious references in this book as well), go rub your wife's feet and then draw her a bubble bath and listen to all the wins she has from her day, dude.
