Narrator is too distracting

What did you like about this audiobook?

The narrator is far too dramatic and, to me, sounds"fake" with his delivery. I really would like to listen to this book as I think the material is well written and interesting; however, I couldn't make it past the first chapter because of the distraction of the narrator. I would have much preferred it sounding like a conversation or the author just "speaking" to me.

Does the author present information in a way that is interesting and insightful, and if so, how does he achieve this?

No

Lacking content

The book and sample sounded like it had a lot to offer but I don't believe it offered many ideas. Good story though.

Great content, read by The Matrix'd Morpheus.

Really loved the content. Brought clarity to what I'm calling my midlife crisis. Uncertainty, career change, growth and family all plagued and depressed me, this brought me clarity and hope, even optimism. 1 downfall, hard to get past Shakespearen sounding Narrator when trying to hear a man's voice whose content seems more down to earth.
