Publisher's summary

The Book of Undoing encourages immediate recognition of our shared true nature. It is an experiential journey, wherein the listener follows a mock client's Direct Pointing session with the author.

These sessions have helped people around the world come to Nondual realization. It's suggested that the listener actively participate in the question and answer sessions which form the bulk of the book.

Fred extends the invitation for you to awaken right here, right now. It's here or nowhere. It's now or never.

5 stars for Fred Davis and his Book of Undoing.

Any additional comments?

Who’d a thunk it, but turns out . . . there’s nothing mystical or foreign to Awakening after all. Fred Davis simply asks a series of questions, to his stand-in client “Brook,” (she’s standing in for us, by the way) and before you know it . . . you’ll find that you suddenly get it. As in: “IT.” Now I’m not saying that I’m all the way where I want to be, but after decades of reading philosophy, religion and metaphysical books . . . I can say that I’m a whole lot closer to home than I ever have been. Get the book. You don’t even need an open mind—just open ears.

Fabulous!

Any additional comments?

Well, I love to read, so I hesitated buying this book (which I've read twice) on audio, but considering it's the Fred Davis, my new favorite author, who wrote this book and set up the audio, I went for it. I listened to about 2 minutes of the sample, turned it off and bot it with 1-click. I already like it better than the paperback version and find it much more experiential. I can't wait to listen to it all. Thanx, Fred!

Good Stuff

Is there anything you would change about this book?

Having Brook answer the questions, for me, was very distracting. In this case the print version is better.

Would you be willing to try another book from Fred Davis? Why or why not?

Maybe. After watching a few of his youtube videos I feel like his message has no potency, at least via poor quality video it doesn't.

Which scene was your favorite?

I resonated with identifying myself in the head region of the body, and then upon further contemplation, I too realized that I am nothing but a thought. That is a nice breakthrough.

Do you think The Book of Undoing: Direct Pointing to Nondual Awareness needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

Well, I didn't like the format, so I'd say no.

Any additional comments?

The information is refreshing. Just because I didn't resonate with the format doesn't mean there wasn't value for me. If you're a seeker, this might help you.

Wonderful

Just a wonderful little book and very well read. I already planning on listening multiple times.
I really was able to allow myself to experience the simple exersizes and get a glimpse of no dual conscienceless. I found myself laughing out loud at some of the commentary from "Brook" the client, manly because I have thought the same things.
It's really amazing and such a radical shift from the world of form. Yet I feel as a result of listening, I was able to see thru the clouds. Baby steps, baby steps.

Great Audio

It's so clear to understand what awareness is, it can be very confusing journey. You will love it.

More awake

It's a great practical book about becoming more aware and knowing of who you really are. Impactful. The narration is not so good, but it does give the sense of a live workshop and it was affective

Thank you

Nothing to say. Just experience it. Stop the search. It’s closer than close. It’s just is.

Good job

The “pointing” was skillfully effective.
I’d recommend it to anyone looking for clarity and means of Awakening to Truth of What Is, while at the same time reconciling our experiences being lived in these body/mind “units”.

Surprisingly clear and articulate pointing.

So, if you know Fred Davis from his YouTube videos, you might expect this (like I did) to be a little unsophisticated and down-home for your taste. It is neither.

I've now listened twice and both times I found myself clear as a bell later that day. During the listen not so much but later Pop! There I'm not!

I was struck immediately by how articulate the prose is. It isn't pretentious or formidable it's just very concise and clear. His pointing is a little different from what I have experienced before. He sorta argues (not argumentative but intellectually) you out of your belief in Self. He shows you that it makes no sense.

If I read the above I might think "Yeah, well that's not how it works!". But, it is just a different way. It does work, though I'm sure not every time. And I'm sure some people will not have a taste for it. But I think more will write it off unduely.

I recommend it highly. It worked on me twice already and I will probably listen frequently as long as it keeps working.

I know this language is dualistic but the glimpses it induced in me were not and we're among some of the deeper experiences I have had.

Simple, but effective.

Very delicate narration of the author experience with enlightenment. Straight to the point, with dialogues.
