The book was like a giant intro on the topic of manipulation. Reminded me of a high school book report. Was looking for more specific information on how to positively manipulate others and defend myself against negative manipulation this book simply didn't deliver.

This book was informative and instructive; demonstrating how one could guard against or use manipulation to achieve one's desired goals or elicit a specific response/action to achieve said goal(s).
If this book wasn’t for you, who do you think might enjoy it more?
This book is probably more suited to those who are looking for a basic introduction to persuasion and maybe negoiation techniques.
Has The Art of Manipulation put you off other books in this genre?
No. But it has put me off of books by this author. At the end of the book there is a list of his other titles which range from Making Money Online to (questionable) self-improvement titles which to me shows that the author is at best a jack-of-all trades and at worst an opportunist hoping that the titles will sell the books regardless of the content.
What do you think the narrator could have done better?
Narration was average - not good - not bad.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Disappointment that the book hardly touched on the subject at all. There is a very confused understanding of the difference between persuasion and manipulation, and the author presents a very good expose of the former and hardly anything on the latter - which should be the subject of the book.
