Good effort, but a bit too simplistic

I respect Deb Norville and her message of positivity in the face of adversity. The premise is have faith that all will go well and it will. That’s fine, but the sometimes dire examples that she gave all ended happily. It was just so simplistic, kind of one note.

The narration by the author was splendid. If you’re a big fan of Norville, I’d recommend this one. But I’m neutral towards her, and there are other self help type books that I’ve listened to that were much more interesting.

I have always been a fan of Deborah Norville. This book reveals she has a beautiful soul along with her charismatic on-air personality. Deborah, thank you for sharing these stories and revealing your personal life struggles and triumphs. I practice gratitude on a daily basis, but we can all learn to be kinder to ourselves and to others, especially those days when nothing is going right. You suggested some great ideas I’m definitely going to start doing! Thank you!

Excellent Listen, important

Deborah knows how to talk, and this book has content important to talk about. It delivers a timely message in a compelling and ultimately convincing way, without sounding one iota like a lecture. The true stories are amazing, inspiring and cohesive as a whole. That is, selectively chosen mega tales, true ones, weave a tapestry of one beautiful masterpiece of a message.

not a fit for me

this selection didn't resonate with me... I could not relate with the author or her stories and individuals she interviewed/shared their stories. glad to have heard another perspective 🙏
