Publisher's Summary

How to master the art of narrative leadership? Telling the Story shows how leaders affect our understanding of what is possible and desirable through the stories they tell. It opens a door into the world of narrative leadership: what stories are and how they work, when to tell a story and how to tell one well, and how the language and metaphors we use influence our actions and change how we think about the world.
Geoff Mead, renowned consultant on the art of narrative leadership, explains how narrative leadership shapes and defines what’s possible on an organizational level and challenges leaders to consider how narrative can influence and help create the kind of society they envision.

Like watching paint dry.

Would you try another book from Geoff Mead and/or Philip Franks?

No thanks. One was plenty.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Philip Franks?

The problem was the material...not the narrator.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Telling the Story?

Needless repetition of the author's personal world view distracted from the focus of the book, storytelling and leadership.

Any additional comments?

Good ideas but not easy listening

some good ideas but ironically it was like listening to someone read a text book. Surprisingly it's a good story telling. might be better as a book.
