Publisher's summary

Dr. David Viscott helps you take the risks that are right for you!

Learning to take the right risks - the ones that can propel you to new heights - is best done from someone who is both passionate about life and an inveterate risk taker. Dr. David Viscott is just such a person. In this program, his first for Nightingale-Conant, Dr. Viscott brings his proven abilities and friendly, animated style to a subject that is of vital importance in our rapidly changing world: overcoming the fears that keep us from the rewards of smart, progressive risking. A best-selling author and host of radio and television programs, Dr. Viscott has shared his insights of personal growth with millions of Americans. After years of research and successful clinical practice, he left New England to open the Viscott Center for Natural Therapy in Los Angeles. There, Viscott honed-his revolutionary short-term psychotherapy approach, the Viscott Method. In addition to more than a dozen books, Viscott is the author of four screenplays and several lines of greeting cards. Among his enterprises are self-help cruises, "discovery weekends", the expansion of the Viscott Center to several US cities, and national syndication of his radio and television programs. Dr. Viscott studied medicine at Tufts medical School, where he was awarded the research prize for his work in cancer-troubled society. He later turned to psychiatry as his specialty. He was a Fellow of the Boston University Medicine Institute and Senior Psychiatrist for the state of Massachusetts.

Re record this please

When David talks, it just gets too hard to hear without straining and this takes the pleasure out of absorbing his unique wisdom. If you can put up with the sound levels you'll definitely learn much. I just don't want to have to fight to hear it all properly.

Excellent audiobook! Great advice

There is a lot of wisdom and practical advice here. I highly recommend it. Just identifying what anger really is and how to handle it was worth the listen .
