Publisher's Summary

The law of attraction is based on the idea that everything in the universe has a "polarity", meaning that everything - from the food you eat, to the people you talk to, to the things you say, to the things you think - contains an either positive or negative kind of energy. Notice that being with people who complain or rant a lot tends to make you feel bad, even though you're not exactly experiencing what they're going through - that's the law of attraction working its magic. When you focus on negative stuff, then more negative stuff will happen to you. On the other hand, when you focus on positive stuff, then more positive stuff will happen to you.
Fortunately, there is a way to manipulate the law of attraction and make it work for you: by changing your beliefs, using the power of positive affirmation. Positive affirmations give you a fresh pair of eyes to see the world and, therefore, give you courage to achieve a lot of things you never knew were possible.

I was appalled

I did listen to an audio sample, & I liked the narrator's voice and the short snippet of affirmations along with the title. The audiobook affirmations themselves were appalling , negative, and nothing like the title suggests. One of them actually says "People don't like me, the hell with them..." lol. I had to laugh at the idea of how my face must have looked when I heard that. Spiritual and positive? I am sure I looked puzzled when I heard," I am not like other people who...." something to do with being wronged by others...//paraphrasing// "I will be strong when others take from me, leave me "do me wrong". A pitiful attempt at being positive when one sees the world as a cesspool. I did get some comic relief eventually, when I realized I wasn't having audio hallucinations. A short book. the actual affirmations are one chapter that repeats itself. the last chapter sounds like a recorded voice telling why repeating words is beneficial. I did not like this book. The hell with me.
