This is an awesome listen on so many levels!
I highly recommend this audio book! I was able to relate to so many things mentioned in my own life and experiences. It really made me think about past and present issues in my life that the exercises in this book will really be able to help me process and resolve.
The author is genuine and real about his life. Most self help books start out with stories of people hitting rock bottom with drugs or bankruptcy etc. He is just a regular guy who found a way to enrich his present life to live happier and healthier. I found it really relevant to my experiences because it doesn't promise untold riches or sainthood. It just helps you live a better more fulfilling life.
He has a great voice! Really easy to listen to and grasp his meaning. You can really feel how passionate he is about his work. I haven't listened to any of his other audio books, but have listened to many musical performances. Really talented guy! He has a very soothing and comforting voice. Great range. I have heard many monotone authors that can really lose my attention and I find myself drifting off and not really paying attention. He holds my attention!
It just made me really think and examine my reactions to situations. Being more present and accountable for my own actions and emotions. I know that the better I become at being more in tune with my emotions and reactions will change how people react to me as well.
I listened to this book on a 2 hour car trip.. Easy to listen and implement right away on my arrival to my destination. I am going to listen again to really absorb the exercises he suggests.
