Publisher's Summary

Radical Happiness: A Guide to Awakening by Gina Lake provides the keys to experiencing the happiness that is always present and not dependent on circumstances. This happiness doesn't come from getting what we want, but from wanting what is here now. It comes from realizing that who we think we are - that is, who our thoughts tell us we are - is not who we really are. This is a radical perspective! True happiness comes from experiencing our true nature by being present in each moment.
Radical Happiness describes the nature of the egoic state of consciousness and how the ego interferes with happiness, how to detach from the ego, what awakening and enlightenment are, and how to live in this world following awakening. Exercises are included to help you apply the information and transform your experience of life ... and become happier!
From Radical Happiness: "When we are identified with the mind, we believe that we are who we think we are: our self-image and the labels we have for ourselves. But is that who you are? If that is who you are, then who is it that is able to think about this question? What is it that is aware of the ideas that make up your self-image? What is it that is aware of the coming and going of thoughts?"
About the author: Gina Lake is a spiritual teacher and the author of numerous books about awakening to one's true nature, including Trusting Life, Embracing the Now, Radical Happiness, Living in the Now, Return to Essence, Loving in the Moment, Anatomy of Desire, and Getting Free. She is also a gifted intuitive with a master's degree in counseling psychology and over 20 years of experience supporting people in their spiritual growth.

Critic Reviews

" Radical Happiness is a supremely intelligent guide to awakening from the delusion of the mind and its time. Gina points with clarity and wisdom, while offering practical exercises and helpful resources so that we may realize the extraordinary delight of the Heart." (Katie Davis, author of Awake Joy)
"Gina Lake awakened into radical happiness after a deep exploration of psychology, metaphysics, and astrology. Having walked that path to its end, Gina's heart-full story of what it is to be peacefully aware, loving, and content in the midst of any life circumstance can serve as a bridge to countless others who share her background. Insightfully and eloquently written, Radical Happiness offers practical pointers and exercises that allow every reader to discover who they really are by their own experience. Like all great epics, there is a wonderful twist involved in your exploration. Dive in and Be Happy." (Sundance Burke, author of Free Spirit)

wonderful and enlightening

it's difficult to say, "I" liked it ... but this is not about the "I" but about connecting with the self.
I must have listened five or more times, always finding new ideas, pointers ...
