Publisher's Summary

Let Jamie Glowacki show you how potty training is done. Her six-step, proven process to get your toddler out of diapers and onto the toilet has already worked for 10s of thousands of kids and their parents.
Here's the good news: your child is probably ready to be potty trained earlier than you think (ideally, between 20 - 30 months), and it can be done faster than you expect. If you've ever said to yourself:

How do I know if my kid is ready?
Why won't my child poop in the potty?
How do I avoid "potty power struggles"?
How can I get their daycare provider on board?
My kid was doing so well - why is he regressing?
And what about nighttime?!

Oh Crap! Potty Training can solve all of these (and other) common issues. This isn't theory, you're not bribing with candy, and there are no gimmicks. This is real-world, from-the-trenches potty training information - all the questions and all the answers you need to do it once and be done with diapers for good.

Any additional comments?

My wife and I have been trying to potty train our three year old for the last year and a half. We've been off and on trying to find the right time for him and his particular needs. As you may have guessed, we have completely failed at training this kid up until this point.

Then, after a little research on which book to buy, I decided to get this guide to potty training hoping we could finally figure this shit out (pun intended). It's been about three weeks since I started reading the book, I'm still a little less than half way through it, and my son is already potty trained and doing amazing!! I can't believe how much this book helped me (cause the problems were definitely coming more from me than my son) and how quickly we were able to see success. He still has little accident every now and then but we are seeing steady progression and I'm so proud of my little man.

I can't recommend this book highly enough. If you are struggling with toilet training your toddler or if you're the type of person that benefits from a specific strategy to get things done then do yourself a favor and get this book!

Very snarky and anti-parent

This book was hard to listen to. It's one of the only books I wish I would have gotten in print so I could skim over the condescending parts. One whole chapter seemed to say (and I'm paraphrasing here) 'if you don't succeed with my methods it's not my fault. It's you, and you need to take a hard look at your parenting skills.' It was hard to listen to when you're just trying to do the best for your kid and she seemed to already condemn you to failure.

That being said 98% of people on line seem to have great success with this method. We were the 2%. Despite being in the correct 'head space' (as she calls it) we had problems that weren't even mentioned until the end of the book. When the issues were mentioned she said that we were probably making the problems up as only .1% of the kids she works with have said problems. We tried and tried for multiple, naked, miserable days and couldn't get past them. When I went online looking for help any of her forums had a $40 fee per week just to look, let alone post.

We finally decided that our kid is either in this small minority of kids (whom she labels as 'hopeless' with her method) or we were doing something wrong despite our best efforts. We're not sure as we couldn't find anywhere to ask.
