The Rosary is a standard set of words, collected into prayers, therefore it is difficult to "review" something like this.
I am very happy that this recording exists. Of all the Audible products, I use/listen to this one, the most. I listen to it at least 4-5 times a week.
I really wish that a "Table of Contents" would be available for this recording, so that, we would know which chapter corresponds to what Mystery of the Rosary. This could be available in the description of the recording, or someplace, on the Audible site, where we could print it out.
This recording is wonderful, but I think that it would be a great idea if another one, let's say, another type of recording of The Rosary would also be available.
This "augmented" recording would have quiet, meditative, background music during the prayer. Additional, spoken meditations could be included between prayers, or lengthier thoughts between each decade.
This could be done in the "Scriptural Rosary" format.

St. Anthony Messenger Press Rosary
This rendition of the Rosary lacks an understanding of the faith as a battle amidst God, the Devil, the world, and the individual person praying the Rosary. It does not contain the Fatima prayer, "O, My Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of Hell; lead us and all souls into Heaven, especially those most in need of Your mercy!" This Rosary, seems to deposit an idea of universal salvation e.g. there are no calls for the conversion of poor sinners. Our King and Queen, are put on equal footing at various times with those who are praying this Rosary.
This rendition of the Rosary is only helpful in providing a backdrop of the basic prayers of the Holy Rosary, in conclusion the meditations are not theologically, spiritually, or psychologically correct! Theme music excepted as a marker for the beginning of the sets of meditations [Joyful, Luminous, Sorrowful, and Glorious Mysteries] is totally lacking. The Luminous Mysteries are tagged on at the end of this recording and not positioned after the Joyful Mysteries as a historical sequence of events suggests.
True Catholics, should look for an Audio-Rosary elsewhere, and pray that Audible will soon add another richer rendition of the Rosary that is fully compatible with the traditional faith of the Church!
