So well done. A joy to listen to

For the nerds-at-heart, this book takes the spiritual experience of meditation and puts it into scientific terms to explain the HOWs and WHYs of the benefits of meditation. Hits the SPOT for me! Truly rich in explanation and execution. I have become a devoted fan of Jack Kornfield and Dan Siegel after this book. I would recommend that you have some background about how the brain works (such as by reading Your Brain at Work by David Rock) and some experience with meditation (Any form will do) to get the full impact of how much this book puts into context.
Awesome! Have given it to 3 other people as gifts.

positive and uplifting

Offers tools and antidotes for mindfulness. I've listened to the audio several times which helps me create the positive space for mindfulness.
