Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
This was recommended to me by a good friend who is into mindfulness meditation. While I'm no expert, I found the techniques easy enough to do - which got me to relax on my lunch break. It was a nice break indeed.

I enjoyed the easy methods which led to more awareness and relaxation in the present moment. It got me interested enough to try each method multiple times. No two sessions are a like as daily conditions change (i.e. time of day, screaming kids, if you ate yet, etc.). I love how simple to follow along everything is. Thank you for this.

This is not 9 hours of meditation training. It's not even two hours when you cut out the background music that plays for over 30 minutes after each chapter. And speaking of the chapters-they also repeat but with different background music. So you're getting 4 chapters that last 20 minutes at most. The guided imagery in the first four chapters does not promote a feeling of calm but is rather disturbing. It starts off with having to picture the hair follicles growing from your head, then to visualize your brain, to visualize an x ray of yourself, to imagine how moist your lips and mouth are...then to visualize your own crotch and ask it if it's doing "okay". This really made it hard to take anything else the narrator said seriously. Please don't make the same mistake I did. You can find better meditation/hypnotherapy on YouTube and on google. I'm Very disappointed.
