Publisher's summary

Ever since medical school, Dr. Christiane Northrup has been guided by an essential truth about the way our bodies, minds, and souls are intertwined. It's the same truth Edgar Cayce expressed in this famous formula: The spirit is life. The mind is the builder. The physical is the result. When we don't grasp this - when we view our bodily well-being in isolation - life can devolve into constant worry about our health and constant battling to make our bodies "behave".

When we acknowledge the deep connection between our beliefs and our biology and start to tune in to the divine part of ourselves, it's a whole new ballgame - and the first step in truly making our lives work. Making life work, and truly feeling your best, is about far more than physical health; it's also about having a healthy emotional life and a robust spiritual life. And this is what makes the efforts of modern medicine incomplete.

As Dr. Northrup explains, our current medical system treats symptoms as inconveniences to be masked with drugs or eliminated with surgery - but that's like putting duct tape over the "check engine" light on your dashboard instead of looking under the hood to see what the engine needs.

This joyfully encouraging new book helps you lift the hood on your own life and health. Topics include:

  • Untying the knots of blame and guilt that harm your health
  • Using sexual energy consciously to increase vitality
  • Balancing your internal systems, including your microbiome, through healthy eating
  • Cultivating a strong, healthy ego that serves you - instead of the other way around
  • Communicating directly with the divine - whatever form it takes for you

Drawing on fields from astrology to past-life regression to the new science of epigenetics to standard Western medicine, Dr. Northrup distills a brilliant career's worth of wisdom into one comprehensive user's guide to a healthy, happy, radiant life.

A MUST Read!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I Love Love Love Dr. Northrup’s new book Making Life Easy. I’ve been following her work since 1998 when I entered menopause at age 38. Her first book Women’s Bodies Women’s Wisdom was my bible during that time, now she’s my go to consultant author for most life transitions.
There are SO many gems and gold nuggets from Making Life Easy that impact my thinking daily... from how to ground myself spiritually and emotionally to practical techniques for greater pleasure. I particularly appreciate Dr. Northrup’s willingness to be vulnerable and share personal stories. My greatest take away from this new book is the power in relaxing, the more relaxed we become the closer we connect to our Higher Self and Divine Intelligence. Exactly what I needed to hear! This book is a MUST read!

Really rejuvenating and inspiring.

Would you consider the audio edition of Making Life Easy to be better than the print version?

They're both good. I bought the Kindle version first, then the Audible version so I could listen when busy. I loved the audio - Northrup has a clear voice, and her passion for her subject conveys itself well.

What did you like best about this story?

No story, of course, but I liked the clear layout of the material. The different paths and tools to help us reconnect with our own Divine Beloved.

Have you listened to any of Christiane Northrup’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I listened to Goddesses Never Age. I liked that one, but I find this one (Making Life Easy) was more digestible somehow. I think it moved in slow, clear chapters, all part of the same theme/circle.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

A few times - not moved, exactly, but made me feel the connection to my Self again; I know we are all connected, but I actually glimpsed the beautiful reality of it.

Any additional comments?

This is a very spiritual book. Northrup uses the word God a lot, and the Christian take on angels and all that. I am not christian, but this still resonated with me because I know she meant God as Higher Self, One, etc. Use your own divine belief here.

Fantasy and truth Confused

I couldn't finish this. Practical healthy suggestions were interspersed with wish-fulfillment crud right out of "the Secret". If that's what you want, then this will be your cup of tea. I believe in the mind- body connection, and the helpfulness of envisioning your goals, and even asking for help from unknown sources, but the underlying privilege of her assumptions and claims drove me crazy.

A book of life

This is one of those books that I keep on returning to. It’s pumped up with so much information - I can’t think of anything left out. I also love how references to other people’s work and places to visit are made through out this book.

It really is a book of life that every woman would benefit to have.

The Perfect Book at the Perfect Time!

Love it! I purchased this after feeling drawn to Dr. Northrop in F.M. then forgot about it until I was brought back to it by a series of events and I couldn't be more greatful!

Brilliant & Generous Woman!

My first introduction to Dr. Northrup was In the 1980's when she had a portrait sitting at my Ogunquit, Maine studio - it was memorable - she was exactly as you see her now on her TV specials and interviews. I remember her as beautiful, upbeat, intelligent and very easy to be with, since then I have followed her career.
It is impressive to me when the author reads her book - she did! Her style is down to earth and she has a voice that's easy to listen to.
Everything she had to say - resonated with my belief system! Absolutely everything - I took notes and will listen again.
I highly recommend reading/listening to this and anything she has taken the time and energy to create for our joyful led journey on this beautiful planet!
Love and light,
