Motivational - Easy Meditation Tips
I’ve often thought about meditating, but I usually associate it with a lengthy process involving mantras, uncomfortable positions, and years of practice. But the title “Instant Meditation” caught my attention, especially since I’d downloaded another book in the “Instant Series.” This isn’t a book that requires belief in a religion or spiritual activities – it’s just a down-to-Earth collection of easily understood information, simple exercises and motivational techniques to improve your life, gain energy and at the same time, release tension. Much of the audio book focuses on different breathing techniques, as well as visualization. There are exercises you can do at home, at work, in a crisis situation, while taking a walk – really anywhere you want to shut out the world for a brief time and re-gain peace in your life. There are several suggestions for meditation based on what you wish to accomplish (for example, I needed and was able to use the meditation focused on preparing yourself before delivering a speech or speaking before others). I found all of the exercises to be good, but about 4 of them I use on a regular basis. The time needed to do a meditation is short (about 5 minutes), so I think everyone can find time to do this. Just listening to the hour-long audio book helped me start to relax!
