Great learning techniques!
One of my friends came across this book a couple of days ago, and recommended that I buy it to prepare for midterm season at my college. I decided to buy the audiobook, so that I could listen to it during one of my work outs. However, I strongly recommend that you have some paper and a pen with you when you’re listening to this, since the book contains a lot of helpful exercises designed to help you master the different learning techniques. Also, make sure to download the accompanying PDF, since it contains all of the examples that are discussed in the book.
In addition to these exercises, the book also provides a lengthy description of each technique, as well as various examples. For me, the best technique is definitely the mind mapping one. It has helped me learn several of the overall concepts in my classes, as well as how various details relate to these concepts. I also like that this book doesn’t just focus on one technique because each technique may work better for whatever you’re trying to learn. This makes the book perfect for anybody who is trying to learn something, whether it be playing an instrument, memorizing complex items, or studying for school.
Although the audio book is only ~1 hour long, you should definitely set aside an additional hour when listening to it so that you have enough time to complete these exercises. You may want to listen to this book over the course of a week, so that you can focus on a different learning technique each day.
