How to Think Like A Spy is a good book!!

How to Think Like A Spy is a good book on the teaching of technique of spying. The book initially starts as a word in self protection and self defense in some of the offensive situations and then moves on how to dress, act and think like a spy. The book is good for laymen who want to know how to act in moments of stress and natural and man made hazards. I liked the chapter that told me how to intruder proof my home in the best possible manner. However, some of the things on acting and being like a spy was not totally fresh such as the info on how to act and mingle like a local at a foreign location to avoid standing out in the crowd and how to use a different pace than other people when walking. Still, the book is very interesting to listen. Moreover, it is short and could be thought as the first step towards a career as spy.

So I received this book as a gift and thought it was very sweet. But there are some important things I think the listener should know before continuing.

The book is designed to help you prepare, prevent, and act during stressful situations. Like natural disasters or home invasions. Honestly, I do not think so many people experience these situations that a book needs to be written about it. These are rare occurrences and can stir up panic in people that have nothing to worry about.

Having said that, for people who can logically read this book without wondering if their neighbor too is a spy, I think it is great. There is a lot of interesting techniques, knowledge, and sort of philosophy behind the “spy secrets” that I just found completely interesting. Good book, but not for everyone.
