Publisher's Summary

Analyzing people will give you a distinct advantage in personal, social, and professional situations. Although most of us analyze each other on a subconscious level, there aren't many who take control of this ability and perfect it, so doing so will give you benefits that others are missing out on. Here is what this book will teach you:

The four different personality types: Everyone is different, but you can tell a lot about someone just from observing what type of personality category they fit into. There are four generally accepted "types" that a person can be, and once you learn how to recognize that, you can put this information to use.
Reading people using body language: Body language is one of the most powerful ways to read people. Humans are subconsciously programmed to move their body in a certain way according to their emotions and what they are thinking consciously, and also subconsciously. Being able to learn how to read body language cues will take your analyzing skills to the next level and improve your interpersonal relationship skills in all aspects of life.
How to use this Information: What good is your knowledge pertaining to analyzing people if you aren't sure how to use this knowledge? Not only will this book tell you how to read body language and personality cues, but it will give you actionable steps for using it. You can change your own state of mind by changing your body language, which you will learn about in chapter six of this book.
Cold reading methods and tips: Cold reading is technically associated, in people's minds, with palm readers or psychics, but this can be a useful skill for many other reasons, especially analyzing and reading others.
And much more...

Not what i expected and was disappointed

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

People that want a elementary on manipulation

What could Ryan James have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Focus on the "action and reaction" approach to methods of working with others presenting the process of catagorizing ones analysis of someone. The storyline was much too general to really pin point someone efficiently. What is described can falsely be catagorized if the person is just in a particular mood or behavior in that encounter. Instead of focusing on their actual form of thinking that promotes the reaction or future intentions.

Any additional comments?

Im sorry to say that im very disappointed in the book. Chapter 3 and 4 are a very low imitation of the ennergram. Chapter 5 seems to just inform people how to manipulate people. Referring to the tactics to what fortune tellers use to fool people then later saying that this is called Analyzing people. Chapter 6, half described narcissist and how they fool people. An the other half describs things to look out for in that chapter like a handshake type or type of eye contact. That just doesnt seem a strong foundation to place such a strong label if they are a good or bad person. After that i decided to not continue.

excellent guide

This book gives the simple and clear information on psychological models to analyze human behavior. the author has only provided useful everyday tips and to techniques for analyzing people, he also provides a useful guide to self-analysis. It helped me understand a little bit more about-about what drives people and why they have certain personalities. I will certainly be applying what I have learned.
