Publisher's Summary

Can you talk to your body?
Is it possible to hear your body talk to you?
Could you help your body to get healthy and heal acute or chronic diseases? Could your body return to its ideal shape on its own? Imagine your life inside a healthy body. No doctor's appointments. No health limitations. Imagine your body to return into shape that is healthiest for it.
Otakara Klettke shares in her book Hear Your Body Whisper, How to Unlock Your Self-Healing Mechanism how she has learned to communicate with her body.
From a sick childhood and constant health limitations, the author spent first 20 years of her life often being in a hospital or home in bed. When she slowly discovered that there is a way to communicate with her body her life turned around.
Hear Your Body Whisper is a result of obsessive research, personal experience, and rediscovering the connection between our bodies and minds that naturally exists in every one of us.
Otakara Klettke separates her mind and soul from her body. She explains that your body is filled with trillions of microorganisms that are responsible for the well-being of your body. By understanding your body's inhabitants, you can guide them to address acute and chronic diseases. Your body will also settle in the body shape it is meant to be naturally. Mind-body connection has never been so clear! No doctor or healer is able to listen to your body since they do not reside in it. You can and you should!
Rooted in science this book offers a mindful way to love, respect and celebrate your body. Using Hippocrates' methods and combining them with modern research you can help your body to reach its potential!

Any additional comments?

I nearly passed on buying this book because I feared it would be too mystical or metaphysical. To my immense surprise, it was very well grounded in fact and science. It's true that the author discusses "listening to your body", and meditation, but does so in a very understandable way. Think of it as "getting in touch with your body". If you should be eating better, treating your body better, or tuning-up your body - then you should absolutely get this book. I strongly recommend this book/audiobook. It's good for your health.

Gentle, hopeful, perfect for a health journey

In a recent book I listened to by Frederick Dodson, Levels of Energy, he explained that when someone is at a really low point in their life or energy level you don't try to help them with advice that is right for someone who has more energy or gumption.

Invariably, when someone says they have this or that health issue I'll recommend this or that book by some MD or PhD researcher, usually with citations included and a lot of big science-y words.

Now, I realize that when a person is really sick, or tired, or just starting out to figure out how to help themselves get better, they would do better to ease into the world of nutrition and health information and self-education.

This book, with the gentle narration and concise and condensed information that is in positive and plain language is perfect for some people who are just starting. Or, even for someone who has read a lot of books and just wants something optimistic and hopeful and friendly and is a great summary of the main information to remember.

This is both a feel-good book and a get-better book.
