A history, not a handbook

CONS:
The advice was get a firewall, update your software, turn off wifi on your phone, and passwords. They did give a list of codes and how to break into things, but this isn't anything anyone who works in the security professional would use.

PROS:
This book does a good job at listing prominent hackers and does a good history on freqing, but doesn't really apply to our everyday lives now.

In short this doesn't go into detail about your home security, internet security, or enterprise security.

RedKing

Decent introduction into the most basic and primary information about the world of hackers. This book is not going to teach you how to hack anything, but, if you have zero knowledge of the hacker culture it does give a great primer on the subject.
