The part of this book that I really admire is the fact that the author puts forth fierce kindness as an action- an intentional action of kindness- and she offers a plethora of different ways we can practice this kindness to ourselves in order to be of service to our world. As a fellow writer (albeit in academia) I’d like to see far more of this kind of material that engages this kind of spiritual communication- especially where we are currently in such a polemic and divisive historical moment. Fierce kindness is a brave call to arms for embracing, healing, thanking, giving and growing. Salvatore-August hits the pause button on frustration, and the snooze button of inaction. I am grateful to think of new ways to feel my way to a better way of living and being in this world- and so can you.
