Publisher's summary

Your child or someone you know what just diagnosed with autism. Many feelings are flooding through you right now. You aren't sure what to think or how to feel. Just like an autistic child, you want to put a name to the feelings and emotions that are affecting you right now. You want someone to validate how you are feeling. You want to connect with someone who feels the same way that you might be feeling.

It is difficult to share how you are feeling with others when it comes to your child. If you tell another person that you don't like your child, or that you feel negative feelings toward your child sometimes, they may think badly of you or stop wanting to have a relationship with you altogether. You suffer in silence with your angst and your feelings because you fear what others will say to you. You don't want your child to see that you are concerned or anxious for them or their future. You want to maintain the demeanor that you have always had with your child and give them the perception that you are able to help them and to handle things when they cannot handle them. You need to be a rock for your autistic child, so that he or she will learn how to be resilient.

This audiobook will put names to the feelings and emotions that you may be going through. It may generate additional ideas on how you can tackle your child's autism and become more accepting of his condition.

Gift from God

When my son was diagnosed with autism at the age of 3, I fell into deep depression and guilt. It was a miracle from God that I came across this book. It helped me understand why I was feeling the way I was. I pinpointed and explained feelings I did not understand. I highly recommend this book to any new moms who’s child has been diagnosed with autism.
