Perhaps the error is mine. Perhaps I selected the wrong book. I was looking for something deeper. This book offers beginners a framework for the theories on emotional intelligence but it does not offer any substance on how to use these concepts in difficult circumstances.
Only to a person who was not familiar with the ground work and terminology used to understand and describe basic emotional intelligence. I would not recommend it to anyone who understood the framework but needed guidance in maintaining emotional health in times of true adversity.

It was a good reminder of what I already know.
A good overview of the elements of emotional intelligence with sound, easy to understand examples.
