Publisher's Summary

Happiness can be achieved through training the mind...Generally speaking, one begins by identifying those factors which lead to happiness and those factors which lead to suffering. Disappointing

I generally like the Dalai Lama's things but the was of poor recording quality. Many instances of people speaking next to the microphone. At times the roar of the crowds was deafening. The Dalai Lama at time could not be understood. There are better Dalai Lama selections that are longer and of far better quality.

off topic and long-winded introduction

Albeit interesting, I did not need or want to hear the proceedings of the Dalai Lama being awarded Canadian citizenship. Once you've waded through this beurocracy though and the Dalai Lama actually starts speaking it's great to listen too.

My learning from the book

I always aim to learn at least 1 thing from any book I read/listen.

One thing which Im taking away from this one is "law is enforced but values are reasoned"

This is a nice and easy to listen book which portrays the innocence found in Dalai Lamas personality. Definitely a good one to listen to on a long walk by yourself.

Share your learning lesson guys!
