It's like listening to a robot.

I listen to a lot of books on Audible and this book did not keep my attention. I think the material is solid but delivered very poorly. The narrator has a very monotone voice which did not hold my attention. I'm going to look into the other books the author has written, but if it's the same narrator I'll pass.

Good tips and tricks

A very superficial book about wealth as the centre of attention, but has a lot of good tips everyone can tweak to their own life. I found some good ingredients I'll use in my own recipe of life. Worth a read.

Should be named "Habit Science" and in a textbook

No story line, if I hear the word habits one more time ugh! Very repetitive.

Inspiring, Accurate and Actionable

I will definitely listen to this book again soon and take notes. This book really gives you a basic overview of how to start on your journey to fulfillment and internal success. Changing your daily habits is key, because they make up your life.

One day is your whole life in miniature form, and changing how you spend your days will change your life.

A must read!

If you've been reading self help books for a while, it might sound repetitive. I liked the tactical aspect of the book "here how the rich do x" now here's how to apply x in your life. Great book and highly applicable

Poorly organized

This book felt like the author read 10 other books and just regurgitated the concepts he liked onto a page with little original thought.

Never say someone's name wrong...

The only "annoyance" I found was when the narrator said "C. Clement Stone" instead of "W. Clement Stone" which is his actual name. Other than that, I wished that more enthusiasm was expressed by the narrator overall. The audio book serves as a great compliment to the physical book when changing habits.

Simple yet effective advice

Great book, one of the best self-help books I have read in years. Worth the price, easily. Simple steps which will help you to be on your way!

He coaches you to develop habits which then support your goals in fulfillment of dreams and ambitions. Especially good for those just starting out, although it is great advice for the more seasoned professional as well, as an effective reminder to some of the things you may have learned earlier.

I would say, one thing in criticism, is that although much of self-talk is from your own brain, as the author mentions - the Amygdala area of the brain, much of it is not. It is from an external source, possibly a healthcare worker of some type, or maybe from an "other worldly" source. He is right to recommend drinking more water, after all this will keep your brain hydrated and functioning well, although I would say coffee works just as effectively, just maybe not through out the entire day. Another book along these lines of brain health I would recommend would be Daniel Amen's "Magnificent Mind at any Age".

Also, although most of our success is based on our own efforts, some of it is not. Often times those who seem remarkably successful "because they read books everyday" , may in fact be the beneficiary of affirmative action programs. What if they score lower on standardized tests than someone not admitted to Med school or law school? Perhaps they are not as good a practitioner as they may seem. By the same token, some who would have been more successful, may have been in part stifled in their career or in their corporate actions by liberal government bureaucrats, the very same who instituted the affirmative action programs. These real world scenarios are not covered in the book. This one complaint aside, as the author says, nonetheless, if you set your goals and a daily to-do-list in pursuit of goals, you are sure to succeed.
