Publisher's Summary

The same God who leads us to green pastures guides us through the valleys. Number one New York Times best-selling author Joel Osteen shares how God uses the darkness in life for good.
All of us will go through dark times that we don't understand: a difficulty with a friend, an unfair situation at work, a financial setback, an unexpected illness, a divorce, or the loss of a loved one. Those types of experiences are part of the human journey. But when we find ourselves in such a place, it's important that we keep a positive perspective. Joel Osteen writes that if we stay in faith and keep a good attitude when we go through challenges, we will not only grow, but we will see how all things work together for our good. Through practical applications and scriptural insight, Blessed in the Darkness focuses on how to draw closer to God and trust him when life doesn't make sense.
If we will go through the dark place in the valley trusting, believing, and knowing that God is still in control, we will come to the table that is already prepared for us, where our cup runs over.

I feel so much blessed!

After listening to Pastor Joel i feel more blessed. I got this for free via audible and i cant wait for it to buy the book at our local bookstore. It was out of stock when i went to purchase it. This is the kind of book that i wont get tired of listening/reading over and over again. I intend to buy this not only for me but also for my family as a gift.

18 Chapters of the Exact Same Thing

I enjoy Joel. I really do. But this book is literally 18 different ways of saying, “When things are tough, everything’s gonna be alright.” It’s extremely redundant.

Granted, Joel reads it with enthusiasm. He believes every word he wrote. But then again, his books are typically rehashes of sermons he already preached.

I liked the stories of his family. They really resonate. But the rest is just variations on “You can make it.”

It’s 100% classic Joel on repeat.

Blessed in the Darkness Review

This was is one of the most inspirational & encouraging books I have ever read/listened to. I also have a copy of the print version of the book. It has become a manual of faith for me in my current circumstances. Full of promises that are available to all of us. And will hold you in good steed for the storms we all endure though this journey of life. I know it will continue to support me & help me to continually have faith & believe. I have not stopped listening to the Audiobook since purchasing & now on my second listen. I recommend this book for everyone. Thank you Joel Osteen what a blessing you are to the world.
