Lots of filler to stretch this to over an hour. A long introduction about how bees may be scary but they are amazing and should be our friends(!) as if I had not just bought a book about beekeeping and possibly had never heard of honeybees before. Facts are jumbled and many have the flavor of lists copied from other places. There are a few useful facts scattered through but by the time I got to the section where the narrator was reading recipes aloud I was feeling cheated. The explanations in the informational sections were poorly written and poorly explained. I would love to find good audiobooks on gardening, beekeeping, orchards, and brambles but the only things I seem to be able to find are these terrible pamphlets with 4 star reviews.
If you could sum up Beekeeping for Beginners in three words, what would they be?
Would you recommend Beekeeping for Beginners to your friends? Why or why not?
If you are interested in starting to Beekeep, I would recommend it. Otherwise, skip it. It is a book of steps, facts and information about Beekeeping.
Would you listen to another book narrated by Bo Morgan?
He was fine.
What insight do you think you’ll apply from Beekeeping for Beginners?
Many of the strategies and practices mentioned in the book I would use should I decide to become a beekeeper.
