I'm man's economy, life's disappointments and disasters can cause depression, dispair, and even disillusion. The author uses God's Word to show the listener that in God's economy, life's hardships are the Rifiner's fire intended to shape God's people for His glorious purpose. Missing chapters, but great audible
Enjoyed listening to this audible & appreciated that it was read by the author. I’m a little confused that it is missing chapters from the printed version & an explanation is not offered as to why that might be. Be aware that this audible version omits chapter 3 (present failures, past regrets), chapter 5 (transformed under his control), chapter 6 (strength in the face of stresses), chapter 8 (peace amid pain), chapter 11 (a call to courage), chapter 12 (Where courage shows most), and a final chapter tilted “A fire of reminder.” Printed version also contains a companion Bible study to go along with each chapter, in case that is of interest.

Powerful tool to change my thought life!
I was incredibly discouraged after the suicide of my brother. I felt I was in a pit I could not escape. Kay's book, read thoughtfully, spoke loudly to my heart to stand tall and fight off the enemy of my mind and heart, Satan himself. The thoughts he had tried to kill, steal and destroy me with, have now become the tool to wake me up and realize all I am in Christ! So grateful for this book, it carries my highest recommendation!
