A foolish and possibly dangerous book
This book sets up a false premise, that depression can be treated by either medication or natural methods. There is no reason why a depression sufferer has to choose however you can to both. It is very negative and misleading about the effects of medication. The alternatives offered are sunshine, yoga, healthy diet, exercise and positive thinking. There you are, you don't need to waste your money on this book now. You will there by also spare yourself from being given a snotty and unsympathetic diagnosis of your depression as caused by your inability to deal with failure and excessive self esteem. There is much help to be had from working on improving your mental health and happiness with various methods such as CBT but this book seems to be prepared by someone with no experience of or empathy for depression. A mounts to little more than pull yourself together and get on with. Funny how that had never occurred to me.
