Publisher's summary

A groundbreaking, practical three-week program to help you cope with life's tough moments, overcome misfortune, build habitual resiliency, and ultimately boost your overall happiness.

Truly happy and successful people share a common trait: resilience. Not only do they know how to rebound from setbacks, but they are strengthened by challenges, gaining the emotional toughness to persevere whether facing a professional crisis, a personal tragedy - or just an ordinary bad day. The good news is that with the right tools, you can train yourself to be resilient and become happier, healthier, and more successful.

In 21 Days to Resilience, Dr. Zelana Montminy gives you a practical, concrete toolkit to develop your capacity to recover quickly. Each day of her powerful program, Dr. Montmimy introduces a key concept necessary to improve resiliency and enhance well-being - such as courage, focus, positivity, self-care, and social support - then provides three quick skills to accomplish. Throughout the book she teaches you lifelong skills you can continue to practice and return to as needed to keep your resiliency muscles strong.

Combining science, real-life anecdotes, exercises, and insights from practical experience, 21 Days to Resilience provides the foundation for happiness and shows you how to achieve it - how to bounce back from any disappointment, hurdle, or misfortune - for the rest of your life.

Skip Chapters 1, 2 and 3... then it becomes okay

It is an okay book starting with chapter 4. Chapters one through three seem to not understand who the audience is - likely a young person in late teens and early twenti s. Those chapters assume the reader is emotionally mature enough and have their life in context and/or are self aware enough to be able to make the recommend lists. In my opinion, that is not a good assumption for people who could most use this book.

Blah blah blah

This book might be helpful for Sam, but I personally found it more like reading a psychology book of self-help. I didn’t feel too inspired nor did I learn much, but may because I’ve read other books like it. I think I could be more inspired by something else.
