Publisher's Summary

Have you ever found yourself focusing on concerns or worries at the end of the day? Most of us have had these feelings from time to time and they can leave us feeling stressed, tired and overwhelmed. In fact recent studies into the field of positive psychology show that if you dwell on negative events or images of yourself then before you know it you will begin to believe that these thoughts and images are actually true and your inner talk soon becomes a self-fulfilling prophesy.
So taking a few minutes to consciously and deliberately break any stressful trains of thought is a hugely valuable thing to do, especially last thing at night because the thoughts you go to sleep with can play a large part in determining the quality of your rest. Adopting an attitude of appreciation and gratitude also goes a long way to strengthening your inner template for confidence and optimism, as well as giving your self-esteem a gentle boost. After all if you never allow yourself to stop and take stock of what has been good in your day you deny yourself the satisfaction of living life to the full.
In this two-track audio you will be guided through a powerful exercise to help you reinforce a mind-set of appreciation and open hearted gratitude. It sounds such a simple thing to do yet this exercise carries real power to help you feel better about yourself and strengthen your wellbeing. In track one you will learn more about why this is so important for your wellbeing and in track two you will be guided into an effortless state of deep relaxation, appreciation and gratitude for the 10 best things about your day today.

Maybe and Perhaps ---

Though the reason for this audio is excellent, I was disappointed in the content. The explanatory part has too much waffle and is painful, especially when you find yourself asking, "When is she going to get on with it?" or exclaiming, "She is too found of her own voice!" Nevertheless you appreciate the fact that you can skip part one and just use part two, though even that takes time to get started. The actual session is quite brief and the hypnosis state is jarred by those "maybe" and "perhaps" type suggestions: I find those counter-productive and annoying.

A much better way, to install appreciation. would be to have an uplifting inner journey where you see and feel yourself in a fully appreciative mood, with no maybes and no perhaps, about it. Ending, when in that mood, with the 10 good things in your own day. I have given it 3 because it challenged me to think on improvements.
