Good book

Easy to listen to. Especially when walking! If you have gotten wrapped up in routine, this book will help you think outside if the box. Thanks for inspiration.

a lot of new age hype

I am not sure if Smith found the Wander society as she claims or created it. It's a pretty genius way to market a book ( tell the reader they will belong to some secret culture when they buy it). Everyone has a need to belong and the secret bit just makes it exciting.

the books hypothesis is that wandering can "awaken new levels of consciousness" . I think it's referring to the psychological phenomenon of highway hypnosis. Why send money on a book to experience this? Just start taking walks.

Wandering towards enlightenment

Wow. Not sure if this is fiction or non-fiction. It doesn't matter. Sucked me in. Keri (the author) describes a secret society based on wandering. This is a self selecting society with no structure. This is very much up my alley.

This simulates me to get out and wander. To commune with nature, to sense the ground under my feet. To slow and do walking meditation. To quiet my "default network". That chatter between my ears that is so insistent on my listening. I recommend this to all walkers, all introverts, all free thinkers. Solvitur ambulando = it is solved by walking.

Title is catchy but I want a refund. Thanks.

What I liked: she spreads some good ideas/topics for those who are "unaware" to ponder on...
For Whom: if you're lost in life this may give you something to think about but don't take it seriously.
That's all I want to say for now.
