Publisher's summary

The legendary British actor Terence Stamp reads the book that he says 'changed his life'. This is an exploration of our existence and a journey towards enlightenment.

In what the author calls 'the fine print' at the start of the book, David Carse wrote: 'There are many books out there that will help you to live a better life, become a better person, and evolve and grow to realise your potential as a spiritual being. This is not one of them...almost every popular spiritual teacher in America and Europe is teaching that ultimate spiritual enlightenment...can now be yours; and that reading their book or attending their seminar will help you toward that end. This book will tell you that these ideas are absurd, because it’s quite obvious that neither you nor anything else has ever existed....' He then concludes, 'That said, enjoy'. We think you probably will.

Perfect

Perfect for the Western seeker, imo. The material is not new but the delivery is. Mr Carse has a way of explaining the unexplainable, more clearly than any I've read, if that makes sense. I've always cherished Nisargadatta, Maharshi, et al. So does Mr Carse, apparently.

I recommend

I really enjoyed this book I’ve listened to it a couple times in a row. Very thought provoking. I did have a hard time understanding or hearing Terence at times. Though his voice is soothing which I also enjoyed.

Mind bending

It would truly one of the most impactful spiritual books ever written, if it was ever written.

Speechless

Speechless content and narration. In the listening there is understanding. So I listen again and again...

Essential Truth & Elegant Narration

This belongs among the most profound mystical teachings. Carse is terse and fierce and non-apologetic, but he delivers the most generous gift a human being can receive. The narrator, Terence stamp, is an absolute joy to listen to. I highly recommend this to anyone who’s interested in non-dual or Buddhist or Taoist teachings.

The person I thought I am really enjoyed this.

Was recommended via a friend who also recommended Jed McKenna. A lot of the content really resonated at this point in the dream. Going to listen again and probably again after that.

Not a story, an accounting.

A most precious book.
Thank you, Terence Stamp, for reading it for us.
I haven’t seen many of your acting performances, but this I imagine, outshines them all.
Much gratitude.

Perfect. Brilliant

Any additional comments?

Have listened to the book twice. I am sure I'll be listening again and again.
